Refund and Return Policy

14-Day Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer purchasing from Modlabs within the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.

The withdrawal period begins on the day you, or a person designated by you, receives the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must contact Modlabs within the 14-day period and clearly state that you wish to cancel your purchase.

Returns

After notifying us that you wish to withdraw from the purchase, the product must be returned without undue delay and normally no later than 14 days after the withdrawal notice.

Unless otherwise required by law, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the product.

Please contact Modlabs before returning a product so that we can provide the correct return instructions and return address.

Products should be securely packaged to prevent damage during return shipping.

Condition of Returned Products

You may inspect and handle the product to the extent necessary to determine its nature, characteristics and function.

If the product has been handled beyond what would normally be permitted in a physical store, and this results in a reduction in value, Modlabs may deduct the corresponding reduction in value from the refund where permitted by law.

Examples may include:

• Installation marks
• Damage caused during installation
• Cut or modified wires
• Machining or drilling
• Disassembly
• Soldering
• Mechanical modification
• Damage caused by incorrect use or testing

Simply opening the packaging does not automatically remove your right of withdrawal.

Refunds

When a valid withdrawal is exercised, Modlabs will refund the payments required by applicable consumer law.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase unless otherwise agreed.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or until the customer has provided evidence that the goods have been returned, where permitted by applicable law.

Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.

Original Shipping Costs

When exercising the statutory right of withdrawal, the standard delivery cost paid for the original order will be refunded where required by law.

If the customer chose a more expensive shipping method than the least expensive standard delivery method offered by Modlabs, the additional shipping cost may not be refunded.

The customer is normally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

Defective or Incorrect Products

If you receive a product that is defective, damaged during delivery, or different from what you ordered, please contact Modlabs as soon as possible.

Please include:

• Your order number
• A description of the problem
• Clear photos or videos where relevant

We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Statutory Defect Rights

Consumer purchases may be covered by statutory rights relating to defective products.

These rights are separate from the 14-day right of withdrawal.

A defect that was present when the product was delivered may be covered even if it becomes apparent later.

Damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, incompatible components, modifications or operation outside the product's intended specifications is not automatically considered a product defect.

Nothing in this policy limits rights granted to consumers under mandatory applicable law.

Modified or Installed Products

High-performance components sold by Modlabs may require installation, wiring or configuration.

If a product has been permanently altered, modified or damaged after delivery, this may affect the amount that can be refunded under the right of withdrawal.

Examples include:

• Cutting phase or sensor wires
• Soldering connectors
• Opening or modifying a motor
• Drilling or machining components
• Permanent installation damage
• Electrical damage caused by incorrect wiring
• Mechanical damage caused by incompatible mounting

This does not remove statutory rights relating to defects that were already present when the product was supplied.

Custom or Personalized Products

Certain products that are manufactured or modified specifically according to a customer's individual specifications may not be covered by the ordinary right of withdrawal where applicable law provides such an exception.

This applies only where the product is genuinely customized specifically for the customer.

Selecting a standard product option or standard variant does not necessarily make a product customized.

Where a product is excluded from the right of withdrawal due to customization, this will be clearly communicated before purchase.

Order Cancellation

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been shipped, please contact Modlabs as soon as possible.

We will attempt to cancel the order before dispatch, but cancellation cannot always be guaranteed once fulfilment has started.

Any statutory rights remain unaffected.

Return Shipping Risk

Customers should use suitable packaging and, where appropriate, tracked shipping when returning valuable products.

The customer may be responsible for damage caused during return shipping where the damage results from inadequate packaging or handling.
